What is the "HIGH NOTES GUARANTEE" return policy?

We want you to be absolutely happy with your purchase. The High Notes Guarantee is a promise that if you are not satisfied with your purchase for ANY reason, we will gladly provide a refund or store credit for both sealed and used records. The customer is responsible for any shipping return costs. 

Please contact us at info@highnotes.ca to request a return within 14 days of receipt. Once we receive the return, we will issue a refund.

Sealed records must be returned sealed.  If it is returned opened, we will issue a store credit.

Hardware exchange or credit on sealed and unopened items or defective items within 14 days with original receipt, otherwise a 15% restocking fee applies. See staff for details. Final sale on clearance items.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout. This is based on your shipping address and total weight of the albums purchased.  Please note that 2xLP,3xLP, and 4xLP albums have different weights and will therefore impact your total shipping costs.

Local pickup is available in the Toronto area free-of-charge.

We offer free shipping Canada-wide for orders above $150 before tax.

How does your free Canada-wide shipping option work?

We offer free shipping for orders above $150 before tax within Canada. Simply select this option at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to the following:

- Canada

- United States

- United Kingdom

- Rest of Europe (excluding Ukraine)

Will I be charged any customs charges, taxes, and fees if I am accepting delivery outside of Canada?

Shipments outside of Canada may be subject to customs charges, taxes and fees. These will be the responsibility of the buyer.

How do I redeem rewards?

  1. Click SIGN IN at: https://www.highnotes.ca/pages/sip-spin-rewards-program
  2. Enter your customer account e-mail and password, then click SIGN IN.
  3. Return to the Sip+Spin Rewards page by clicking SIP+SPIN REWARDS on the Main Menu.
  4. Click REDEEM POINTS.
  5. Click REDEEM.
  6. You can then use the “slider” bar to select the number of points you’d like to redeem for a discount code by simply left clicking-and-holding the slider and sliding it to the desired amount. When done, click APPLY NOW to generate the
    discount code.
  7. Click APPLY NOW to add the discount code to your Shopping Cart. If you do NOT use the
    discount code now, in the future you can find it in the MY REWARDS link on the Sip+Spin page here: https://www.highnotes.ca/pages/sip-spin-rewards-program
Do Sip+Spin points expire, and why?

Sip + Spin points expire after 90 days of inactivity. The expiration period will be activated from the last point activity, so members need to engage with points earning and redeeming activities to extend the expiration. After the expiry date, their points will automatically be reset to zero. As an example, let’s say a member has 500 points. During 90 days, if the member does not earn or redeem any points, they will lose all 500 points after the 90 days. On the other hand, if the member does ANY activity that affects their total points within a 90-day period, the expiry date will be extended by 90 days.

Therefore, any member can extend the expiry by 1) making any purchase whatsoever, 2) redeem points for a discount code for use on a current purchase, or 3) redeem points for a discount code for future purchase.

When points are redeemed, the member will receive a Discount Coupon Code that can be used both in-store or online. Once points are redeemed for a Loyalty Reward Discount Coupon Code, the Coupon Code needs to be used in-store or online within 90 days or it will expire.

Most of our customers appreciate our loyalty program which is rare for a vinyl record shop as well as for an independent coffee shop. Furthermore, most customers have remarked that the discount rate for the Sip+Spin Rewards program is relatively large, especially considering most vinyl record shops and most independent coffee shops offer no loyalty program whatsoever.

To make this program economically feasible for a small business in an extremely competitive, low-margin business, the points expiry is required.

High Notes takes vinyl grading seriously. We grade our records using the Discogs guidelines found here:

How do I sell my vinyl collection to High Notes?

Please send us an email at info@highnotes.ca. The more info you can provide the better: artist, album, condition, total records, etc.

Record Care

Please note that all records sold on our website are cleaned with a spin-clean record washer.  Brand new inner and outer sleeves are provided for all records above $20.  When records are shipped, the records are shipped outside of the cover to help prevent ring wear
